Lyricality Partners

We partner with Minnesota Poets & Writers,
and central Minnesota organizations

to foster the art of empathy through poetry and story.

Our partner organizations are made of individuals who collaborate with us on much more than projects. We begin with a vision for justice and peace, then we engage in meaningful conversation about the steps we can take to promote healing and resilience in our communities, one step at a time. We agree to foster the art of empathy in our daily lives while we explore how our collaborations can demonstrate our mutual commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Our fiscal agent, the Paramount Center for the Arts, is central Minnesota’s region’s premier performing and visual arts center. We are proud to be their literary arts collaborators in the 2021 Block Party and the Commemorative Public Art to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. Under their expert mentorship, we are working to make the litarary arts more widely available in central Minnesota, to deepen understanding, foster curiosity, expand perspective and build relationships, in ways that are accessible for anyone interested in participating, regardless of age, ethnicity, physical ability, or means.

Central Minnesota Arts Board

The Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB) strives to enhance appreciation of the essential economic and social roles the arts play by providing grants and professional development services to arts and community organizations, schools, government units and individuals in our Region of Minnesota. Without them, Lyricality would not exist. We are especially grateful for their leadership and mentoring, showing us ways to embody our commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion, accountability, and transparency.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Literacy Minnesota

Programs Partners for Adult Learners of English

While all of our partners are our “favorites,” our work with ABE and Literacy Minnesota is especially dear to our hearts.  Follow this link to find the interdisciplinary resources and activities we designed to help instructors facilitate a heart-to-heart connection between their students, a guest poet, and the words of a Minnesota-based Indigenous (Native American) poet, by collaborating in the creation of a communal poem. And this link will lead you to the collaborative communal poem, “We Are Here,” composed with Somali-American adult English language learners at La Cruz Community Center in St. Cloud, MN.

Crowded House Pottery

Susan Beyer, LyricaliTea mugs maker

Because you deserve a special vessel to hold your favorite hot beverage, and because the words poetry and pottery are kissing cousins, we searched for the perfect mug to hold our LyricaliTeas. We wanted something round at the bottom to warm your hands, narrow at the middle to keep in heat, made of durable materials that don’t require coddling (microwave and dishwasher safe), and imprinted with a human touch. We couldn’t find it. And so we commissioned central Minnesota artist, Susan Beyer of Crowded House Pottery to create our design. We hope this mug will inspire in you a gratitude for the simple pleasure of human connection, and be the kind of mug you can develop a lasting relationship with.
